  12. I have just bought a new MultiTech systems MT2834ZDXI, and have used it 
  13. to connect to my internet service provider.. The only problem is that 
  14. when I attempt to stay online for an extended duration (even with eudora 
  15. mail checking in the background to prevent timeouts) it seems to hang up 
  16. for no apparent reason.

  18. I have tried to turn off DTR checking etc., anyone know the optimal init 
  19. strings for such a modem (Austel Approved version) to connect to a 
  20. netcomm rack?

  22. If I can't get it to work, I think I'll have to take it back..
  23. Due to the unpredictability of the modem, I am not able to check the 
  24. newsgroup regularly.. Please send reply copies to dumbo@netspace.net.au
